Stratford-upon-Avon Railway Station

London Midland and Warwickshire County Council  have launched a scheme to improve our town’s railway station.

London Midland has obtained £500,000 of funding for the station refurbishment with Warwickshire County Council providing another £250,000.

Proposals would see a new glass entrance and booking hall replacing the old ‘parcels cage’. There will also be improvements to waiting areas including a new accessible toilet. Please see the pdf for further information on the station layout currently proposed.

The station is a  major  gateway to a world class tourist destination. It is the first impression ¾ million people get of Stratford as they use the station each year. The improvements will make a big difference .  London Midland and Warwickshire County Council believe the station could be even better – and if funding was available more improvements could be made to enhance the gateway to Stratford town centre. If you agree and your organisation could financially support the scheme we would like to hear from you.

Please get in touch no later than 31st October 2015, as the fully funded scheme needs to be finalised by the end of this year in order to ensure your new station is ready by December 2016.
